What Does “Pay It Forward” Mean?

At Mane Tailor, we believe confidence should never feel out of reach.

Our Pay It Forward initiative allows you to make a meaningful impact, whether through a financial contribution, donating your natural hair, or repurposing human hair extensions to be crafted into wigs for women experiencing medical hair loss.

Every contribution helps us support women navigating deeply vulnerable circumstances with dignity, discretion and specialist care.

Because restoring hair is powerful, but restoring confidence is life-changing.

Donate Your Hair

If you are cutting your natural hair and would like it to support someone experiencing medical hair loss, you can donate it through our Pay It Forward initiative.

We accept healthy, clean human hair that meets the required length and condition guidelines. Donated hair is carefully prepared and sent to our wig-making partners, where it is transformed into bespoke wigs for women navigating medical hair loss.

Before sending your hair, please ensure:

• Hair is clean and completely dry
• Tied securely in a ponytail or braid before cutting
• Meets minimum length requirements (we recommend 8–10 inches or more)
• Is free from excessive damage

Repurpose Your Human Hair Extensions

Luxury hair should never go to waste.

If you have gently used human hair extensions that are no longer suitable for refitting, we offer the opportunity to repurpose them through our Pay It Forward initiative.

Extensions are professionally assessed, cleaned and prepared before being sent to be crafted into wigs for women experiencing medical hair loss.

This allows high-quality hair to continue its journey transforming from beauty enhancement into confidence restoration.

Please note:
• We accept 100% human hair only
• Hair must be in wearable condition
• Synthetic blends cannot be repurposed

3% Cover the Fee

Your contribution is added to our Client Support Fund, helping part-fund hair systems and specialist care for women experiencing medical hair loss. Each amount contributes towards restoring confidence in a meaningful, tangible way.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Mane Tailor is not a registered charity. The Pay It Forward initiative is a business-led Client Support Fund created to help subsidise specialist hair restoration services for women experiencing medical hair loss.

  • Contributions are allocated to part-fund consultations, fittings, hair systems and ongoing care for women who may not otherwise be able to access specialist services.

  • We accept healthy, clean human hair that meets minimum length and condition requirements. Full guidelines are provided above before sending.

  • We accept 100% human hair extensions in wearable condition. Synthetic blends cannot be repurposed.

  • All contributions are allocated at the discretion of Mane Tailor based on client need and eligibility.
